Alien Quadrilogy

This is one of the major releases I've wanted for the longest time. But I only want the 9-disc set, not the 'Alien' head that costs much more. Seeing it in stores here definitely increased my liking for that set more. Haha, time to save up again I guess. By the way, the picture is of me holding the DVD set inside Virgin Megastores. It costs 400 AED (almost 6,000 pesos). Too much, you say? Well, if you’re a collector, you’ll do anything to great lengths just to acquire something you like. More info on the Alien Quadrilogy set here.

Missing my collection

I miss my DVD's from the Philippines. Every now and then I tend to remember them everytime I see discs on display in stores. *Sigh* I better have a job now so that I'd be able to ship my collection from there to here. I miss my Scream DVD from Korea, my Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the US, my Shaun of the Dead from the UK, and yes, I even miss my Pinoy Big Brother DVD's. And even those I bought from sales... They were every bit a part of me. Hush now my children, we'll see each other again. Hahaha, sorry for that... I think I just had too much coffee.

My First DVD

Yey! The first DVD I ever bought here in Dubai. I think now is the time I should start collecting those 'Definitive Editions' the whole R2 community have been raving about.

Let me start with my first purchase. It's SPEED. Back in the Philippines, Speed was only released on a single barebones disc. Here the Definitive Edition of Speed has 2 discs, loaded with enormous amounts of special features. And did I mention it has steelbook packaging? You can read more on that
here.

Here are some pics:
