This is one of the major releases I've wanted for the longest time. But I only want the 9-disc set, not the 'Alien' head that costs much more. Seeing it in stores here definitely increased my liking for that set more. Haha, time to save up again I guess. By the way, the picture is of me holding the DVD set inside Virgin Megastores. It costs 400 AED (almost 6,000 pesos). Too much, you say? Well, if you’re a collector, you’ll do anything to great lengths just to acquire something you like. More info on the Alien Quadrilogy set here.Saturday, June 16, 2007

My First DVD
Yey! The first DVD I ever bought here in Dubai. I think now is the time I should start collecting those 'Definitive Editions' the whole R2 community have been raving about.
Let me start with my first purchase. It's SPEED. Back in the Philippines, Speed was only released on a single barebones disc. Here the Definitive Edition of Speed has 2 discs, loaded with enormous amounts of special features. And did I mention it has steelbook packaging? You can read more on that here.

The DVD Blog
Welcome to my DVD Blog! In here I shall be chronicling all DVD's that I have bought and will be buying, all DVD's that I most want, my views on being a collector and keeping collections from the Philippines and here in Dubai. I think I should have done this a long time ago... Ah well, at least it's not too late. From Collector's Editions to Criterions, join me as I continue to be whelmed into the world of DVD Collecting.
